BIOGRAPHY
A career full of versatility, deep passion for piano and a sincere concern for the future of our planet, have been the inspiration source to the musical creations of Suzanne Rodríguez. ​
Born in Mexico City, daughter of Roberto Rodriguez Ruelas who was a very important Mexican golden age movie film making director and producer and co-inventor in Hollywood of the innovative Rodriguez Brothers Sound Recording System, with her father's influence and her own personal native talent she showed from a very young age a great interest and dedication to music, particularly the piano, beginning her studies at the age of 6, by her tenth birthday she had already composed a waltz to which she even composed the lyrics.

It was in 1958 that she honed her talents through her studies in jazz piano composition, harmony, and instrumentation. Later she took several courses in the United States such as for electronic synthesizers.

Her first recognition was obtained for her artistic career in 1967, winning the award for Best Piano Interpreter, with works by Bach and Haydn.
​
She participated for two seasons as a keyboardist in the live orchestra of the world famous composer Armando Manzanero on a national tour.
​
She collaborated significantly on musical scores for various films with the composers Rafael Carreón, Ernesto Cortázar and Raúl Lavista.
​
In 1978 she won a national award for the composition of the main theme of the movie El Cuatro Dedos.
For Suzanne Rodríguez, each of her works has a deep meaning and a story to tell; Works among which stand out the Soundtrack music that she made for the movieTijuana Caliente , the first film that she completely scored in its entirety and in which she made her debut as music director of a cinematographic orchestra, her song Aborto, Canto a la Vida , recorded by Yekina Pavón; movie theme with the same name and Operacion Marihuana given the orchestration she led with thirty-six musicians.

In total, she had the opportunity to compose in its entirety the musical soundtracks of more than 30 feature films.

Her emblematic work: Nostalgia de la Tierra needed to see the light and convey its therapeutic message to the world.
​
Composed after a visit to Composer Armando Manzanero, inspired by having performed some musical pieces on the same piano that great composers once used, such as Agustín Lara, Mario Ruiz Armengol and Gonzalo Curiel.
​
Through it, she presents us with a tribute to love and the fight for the preservation of nature, bio diversity and latent life in our only home, Planet Earth.
